OPINION: Do Democrats Secretly Want Trump to be the GOP Nominee in 2024?
OPINION — Conservative author, Ann Coulter, believes the Democrats are playing 4D chess and secretly want Trump to be the 2024 GOP nominee. Coulter says Republicans “are being played” because democrats believe Biden has a better chance to win against Trump than they would against Florida governor, Ron DeSantis.
Coulter says the indictment of Trump is all by design:
…that’s why Democrats indicted Trump on absurd charges this week, with the media covering the event like it was the capture of Osama Bin Laden. Today, the party mandarins are sitting around laughing as Republicans trip over themselves to defend Trump…
Coulter thinks the Democrats are far more threatened by DeSantis, in the 2024 general election, and pointed out that Desantis was ahead in the polls, before he has even declared.
She’s right. DeSantis was doing very well in the polls…until the Trump indictment. Coulter added:
…they’re doing it again, trying to trick Republicans into choosing the worst possible presidential nominee. Guess what? It’s working! New GOP motto: Unable to learn from the third kick of a mule…
Could this be true? Could the democrats really be baiting Republican voters into making Donald Trump the nominee in 2024?
The Democrat elites may be evil, but they aren’t stupid when it comes to political strategy. Look at how they capitalized on crisis after crisis, from 2016-2020, which ultimately led to the denial of Trump’s second term.
The nail in Trump’s 2020 coffin was when Democrats took advantage of the pandemic to change decades old election rules. Remember when the vote count just…stopped? This cost Trump a second term.
Again, they may be the most evil, most Godless people on the planet…but they’re not dumb.
I agree with Coulter’s assertion that the Democrats want Trump, but I slightly differ with Coulter on why they want Trump. Coulter doesn’t include many factors in her argument, including election integrity (or lack thereof) and the Democrats number one competitive advantage — messaging. Their political strategy’s success is dependent on messaging.
It’s much easier to convince the masses to reject Trump when you have legacy media, big tech, and the never-Trump GOPers all in your back pocket. Democrats know they control the messaging in this country and it’s been a major problem for America.
Think about it. A transgender shooter was able to kill 6 people (including 3 children) inside of a Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee. And instead of mass protests against the radical trans ideology, there were mass protests against…guns.
GUNS!
They even declared the Nashville shooter as the “7th victim.” The Biden Administration created a day of “Trans Visibility” just days after the shooting. And all of its corporate and media puppets fell in line.
This is why the Dems want Trump in 2024. With their messaging advantage, as corrupt as it is, it’s much easier to rig another election. Democrats, and their media puppets, could chalk a Trump loss up to the rejection of “fascism” and a “win for democracy.”
It’s much easier to do this to Trump than it would be to a solid, more smoother-around-the-edges candidate like DeSantis.
If DeSantis became the nominee and lost to a dementia patient, who can’t even remember his own name, it would be a lot harder for the Dems to control the narrative and explain it to the country. They know people, even the RINOS, would ask more questions. Okay, I may be giving the RINOS too much credit here.
When I say “rigging an election,” I don’t just mean cheating through voter fraud. There are other ways democrats can rig an election and they did it in 2020 with the help of the media institutions mentioned above.
Four words: Hunter. Biden. Laptop. Story.
With the Democrats in control of the messaging in this country, another rigged election would be swept under the rug. Because Trump is a lone wolf. He’s not backed by the establishment like DeSantis is. And nothing would be done about it.
All of this may sound demoralizing and it should. It wasn’t supposed to be this way in America. We’re supposed to have faith in our elections, our media, and our institutions. Sadly, every single one of these has been compromised by evil. And we only have ourselves to blame. Too many stood by while gradualism took over.
But, guess what? It’s never too late to turn back and hope is always there if we allow it to be.
