OPINION: Why Elon Musk reinstating the X account of Alex Jones is a win for free speech

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Can you hear it? It’s like millions of woke leftists suddenly cried out in terror after InfoWars and its host Alex Jones were reinstated on X (formally known as Twitter) this week.

X’s owner Elon Musk ran a poll and asked users whether Alex Jones should be allowed back on the platform after he was banned by Jack Dorsey’s Twitter in 2018 for “abusive behavior.”

Of course, the media was quick to launch a coordinated announcement on their individual X account’s referring to Alex Jones as a “conspiracy theorist.”

Now, whether you love or hate Alex Jones one thing is for certain: he’s never done anything more egregious than the Taliban who were never banned from Twitter.

The plot by big tech to silence Jones is not about “protecting the community from harm” like the commie, BT CEO’s want you to believe. It’s about shrinking our 1st amendment rights and regulating our freedom of speech to push a one-sided political agenda.

Don’t believe me? Just research the “Twitter files", which were uncovered and released by Elon, that showed how Twitter colluded with Joe Biden and the DOJ in attempt to suppress damaging information that would have affected the 2020 election in Trump’s favor.

Elon’s decision to reinstate Jones is a big middle finger to the unelected elitist corporate commies.

For the past several years leftist celebrities, with the help of the corporate elites, have been under the illusion that their viewpoints and beliefs are the only ones that matter in America. This explains why you’re seeing advertisers, like Disney, pull their ad money from X as a way to send the middle finger BACK to Elon. Here was Elon’s response:

We can’t underestimate just how important Elon Musk has been in the fight to restore freedom of speech online. Conservatives have felt the discrimination for too long, especially during the pandemic, and many often self-censor due to fear of being banned. This isn’t America and it’s definitely not what our Founders had in mind when they wrote the Constitution.

According to DemandSage.com, “There are 4.9 billion social media users globally, meaning 60.49% of the global population use Social media. The global social media users are forecasted to reach 5.85 billion by 2027. Facebook is the biggest social media platform, with 3.03 billion users.”

The argument that “well they’re private companies so they can set the rules how they want” is a weak argument. Here’s why.

Social media has changed our lives and has reshaped American society in a way never seen before. Historically, private companies have been regulated by the US Government for the betterment of its citizens. It’s nothing new (e.g. safety laws for car manufacturers).

So why does big tech get a pass when it comes to suppressing your free speech? One word…politics.

It’s no secret the major, big tech platforms such as Google (owns YouTube), Meta (owns Facebook & Instagram), Twitter (now X), and TikTok are major financial supporters of left-wing politicians. Can you guess who their top recipients were in the 2020 election? Yup: Joe Biden and Democrat Super PACs.

In fact, look at the differences in political donations from 2004-2018 by big tech:

Definitely zero bias here.

Big tech has shown where its allegiance lies and it’s not with you or the Constitution. It’s with those who openly trample on your first amendment rights in the name of “safety and security” and “protecting democracy.”

By now, you should begin to feel just how crucial Elon Musk has been for America. Is he perfect? No. But he’s a huge breath of fresh air in the right direction to bringing America back to its founding principles and restoring free speech online.
